Inter Milan have renewed their efforts to sign Curtis Jones, but Liverpool remain firm on their valuation — demanding around £34 million (€40 million) to sell.
Reports from The Athletic and La Gazzetta dello Sport confirm Inter have already seen two bids rejected: an initial offer of £21.7 million (€25 million), followed by an improved proposal worth roughly £29.9 million (€35 million) — both still short of Liverpool’s asking price.
Liverpool’s stance is clear: they will not sell below their valuation, and would rather keep Jones for the final year of his contract than accept a reduced fee — pointing to recent deals like Conor Gallagher’s £35–40 million move to Tottenham as a benchmark. Manager Andoni Iraola has also stated publicly he wants the midfielder in his squad for the new season.
Inter see Jones as a priority addition to refresh their midfield, with manager Cristian Chivu making him his preferred target. The club believe his age, Premier League experience and versatility — able to play CM or CAM — make him ideal for their system. Jones is understood to be open to the move and would welcome the chance to play regular first‑team football in Serie A.
Aside from Inter, there is reported interest from Nottingham Forest and Galatasaray, though neither has tabled an offer matching Liverpool’s price tag. For now, the gap between what Inter are willing to pay and what Liverpool will accept remains around £4 million, with talks set to continue in the coming weeks.
