Liverpool are set to break the British transfer record to land Moises Caicedo after agreeing a £110m deal with Brighton that sees them leapfrog Chelsea in the race
Liverpool will smash the British transfer record to land Moises Caicedo in a £110m deal, according to reports.
The Brighton midfielder has been looking to leave the Amex this summer and Chelsea had looked like his most likely destination. The Blues eventually bid £100m for the Ecuador international, but were outdone by the Reds, who tabled an extra £10m.
Caicedo is now heading to Merseyside for a medical with personal terms expected to be a formality, to Liverpool, who have already added two new midfielders, will shell out a fee that exceeds the current record paid by a British club.
