According to a report, Barcelona is interested in signing Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold next summer.

Fútbol Total claim that Barca is targeting the England international as their major signing of the 2023 summer transfer window in order to ‘complete their squad’.

They add that the La Liga giants would offer €80m (£67m) for the Reds star, who is under contract until 2025.

For a player of Alexander-Arnold’s talents and potential, that would be a frankly laughable amount. Not that Liverpool would be looking to sell – or the player looking to leave.

Alexander-Arnold came through the system at Anfield and has often spoken about how he sees himself as becoming a one-club man. The Academy product has won all there is to win with the Reds and became the youngest player to do so at the tender age of 23.
