Bayern Munich had identified Kane as their top transfer target this summer
Kane, 30, had wanted his future decided before the first game of the season
The clubs have been in talks for a number of weeks over the protracted transfer of Kane to Munich, with a deal worth close to £100million now in agreed.
Kane now has a decision to make over whether he wants to move to Germany amid a growing feeling that the England skipper was leaning towards staying with Spurs.
Bayern failed with their third offer of £86million, which was tabled last week.
However, the rebuffed offer was said to be close to what Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy wanted for Kane.
Levy values the talismanic striker at £120million – but well-placed sources have indicated that an offer in the region of £100m would tempt the club into selling a player available for nothing next summer.
And following further talks, Bayern’s improved offer – believed to be worth a minimum £95million – has been accepted.
Kane wants his future resolved by the weekend and will not contemplate a move once the Premier League season begins.
Bayern have now met all the conditions required to land Kane, who would be paid in the region of £400,000-per-week with the German giants.
The decision is now with Kane as to whether he wants to leave for Germany.
Spurs fans serenaded the forward with chants of ‘we want you to stay’ as Postecoglou’s side turned in an impressive performance ahead of the new season.
