Inter Milan are expecting  Manchester united to launch a €50million (£43m) offer for Andre Onana this week.

David de Gea’s contract at Old Trafford will expire at the end of June and while there have been talks to offer him a new deal on reduced terms,

The Spaniard was named on United’s released list with the club looking at other options in goal with Onana thought to be leading the short list

Inter are already looking at replacements and plan to use the transfer fee for Onana to fund their move for Romelu Lukaku, who is keen to return to the club after last season’s loan spell.

Inter have already begun talks with Chelsea over extending Lukaku’s loan deal for a second season but the Premier League side would prefer a permanent sale.

With the striker not keen on staying in west London or a potentially lucrative move to Saudi Arabia, Chelsea are ready to take a significant hit and accept a £40m offer, less than half of the £97.5m fee they paid to bring him back to Stamford Bridge in 2021.

Inter’s targets to replace Onana meanwhile include Hugo Lloris, who is expected to leave Tottenham this summer.

Keylor Navas, who shone at Nottingham Forest during the second-half of the 2022-23 season on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, is another option under consideration.
