Manchester United are reportedly likely to be able to ‘only sign one’ of either Antony or Cody Gakpo this transfer window.
According to The Telegraph, United are currently pursuing both Gakpo and Antony ahead of the transfer window closing in less than two weeks’ time. However, it is thought that the club will not have the budget to be able to sign both players ahead of the September 1 deadline.
The Ajax manager recently had his say over the player’s future after Antony was left out of the squad that played against Sparta Rotterdam due to the winger not being in the right frame of mind to be involved. The future of Gakpo may well be decided this Wednesday when PSV play Rangers to confirm which club gets Champions League football next season, something the 23-year-old has hinted as being a deciding factor over his future.
Manchester United are in contact with Antony agents as deal now depends on Ajax decision: key days ahead, while Cody Gakpo's camp is also in direct contact with Man Utd since 2 weeks. ???????? #MUFC
