Manchester United target Antony has reportedly once again refused to take part in Ajax training as he attempts to force a move away from the club. The Brazil international is one of Erik ten Hag‘s top targets with the Dutchman keen to be reunited with his former player.

Antony had already missed training earlier this week as his quest to leave the club becomes increasingly bitter. His head appears to have been turned after United had another bid rejected for his services. The Red Devils offered the Eredivisie champions £63.8million up front with a further £8.3m in adds ons however this was rejected.

The Dutch side are widely believed to be holding out for an offer of closer to £80m for his services as they are reluctant to lose another one of their key players following the summer departures of Lisandro Martinez, Ryan Gravenberch and Sebastien Haller.

Now, journalist Jonas Hen Shrag has reported that the player missed training again. Ajax are said to have held a training session behind closed doors earlier today but the Brazilian refused to take part.

Last week, Antony told Dutch broadcaster NOS that he was fully focused on Ajax despite United’s interest. The winger spoke out after scoring during the Amsterdam side’s 6-1 opening day victory against Groningen.
