Cristiano Ronaldo’s representatives have reportedly held discussions with a number of clubs as Atletico Madrid are believed to be considering offering Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United to facilitate a deal.
According to The Times, Diego Simeone impressed Ronaldo with his commitment and eagerness to work with the 37-year-old. They report that Atletico are willing to use Griezmann or Alvaro Morata as part of any potential deal that would see the former Real Madrid player join the Spanish club’s rivals.
The negotiations are thought to have come about following Erik ten Hag’s recent decision that he is open to selling the Portugal international this transfer window. In the same report, it is claimed that the manager is unhappy with Ronaldo’s behaviour within the United squad and the Dutchman is now open to letting the 37-year-old leave.
